Young Jeezy is officially heading out on tour, and the players accompanying him have been named. Lil Wayne, Fat Joe, Jim Jones, Baby, and Richboy will all be performing.
“Yeah, it’s my tour,” Jeezy told Mtv.com,as he was originally supposed to tour with a roster of Def Jam artists. High profile labelmates like Rick Ross and Ludacris were all for it, but the tour was never officially announced.
Jeezy spoke on his decision, citing the reasons for this tour:
Newcomer Rich Boy was just ecstatic to be included, as this will be a major boost for his visibility.
“It was a situation that I had to take,” opening act Rich Boy told MTV News in response to joining the tour. “I’m excited for the chance to further my career and to be able to touch a larger amount of people than I would be by going on the road by myself. It’s probably the best situation for me to be in. We’re gonna be doing arenas, and I’m excited. I just wanna go hard and show the people I’m something that’s worth going to buy. It’s a great look. It just puts me on a higher pedestal.”
Indeed. He’s bound to sell twice as many records this way, feeding off of the publicity alone.
The nationwide tour begins on Saturday in Charlotte, North Carolina and is scheduled to stretch all the way to Los Angeles, ending on April 29. Due to the anticipated popularity of the show, Jeezy said more dates would be added.
No slouch when it comes to work, Jeezy will be crafting his third Lp, slated for the end of the year. In the midst of that, he’ll be simultaneously advertising his current album,”The Inspiration”, as well as working on a record with his crew U.S.D.A.
The group consists of rappers Slick Pulla, Blood raw, and himself, and they’ve just released their first single, entitled “check”.
“U.S.D.A. album, what it is, it’s a mixtape,” he said. “But it’s crazy. I wanted to do it mixtape-style ‘cause I wanted it to be something for the streets. I drop it April 24th. We gonna call it Corporate Thuggin’. It’s like Trap or Die on steroids. I love that. It’s a street album, just raw.”
Due to his new smash hit single “Go Getta” featuring R.Kelly, his certified gold cd should surely top platinum soon. He said this in regards to working with the R&B hitmaker:
“I wanted to work with him, he was trying to work with me,” the Snowman said of the combined effort. “I did something on his album, he did something on mine. It was more of like, if you want to go with them type of records, you gotta go with the dude that can make those type of records happen. I was comfortable on it. ... It’s one of those records you could feel good about it when it comes on. Everybody’s a go-getta.”
The next video off this current album has already been shot, and is ready to move into rotation whenever Go Getta cools off (never?) It’s the Keyshia Cole featured song “Dreaming”, discussing the hardships Jeezy endured before rap.
“Some people think you just pop up on TV like ‘Here I am,’ ” he explained. “They don’t know what you had to do to get there.”
I agree.

While they on stage making it rain your broke ass is in the crowd with a constant reminder that the money their talking about is yours that you just spent to watch their show. It's almost like paying your worst enemy to fuck your girlfriend. Their basically desrespecting yall in front of yall face.
