The rumors, which have varied from Jay creating his own label with Beyonce to a joint venture with Apple, reached a boiling point last week after reports of him moving to Columbia Records were allegedly confirmed by a source close to the rapper.
“If they don’t kick me out the building [I will be there next week],” Jay told Angie when asked if he’ll still be with Def Jam.
“I’m always looking at what’s the next move, but I like what I’m doing, I like where I’m at. I’m nowhere near that. That’s the papers, they are ahead of me,”” He Continued.

I see someone everyday say something about our southern artist killing hiphop with our style. But the president of da biggest label in hiphop history is almost only promoting southern artist but other artists on da label like Nas, Redman, Method Man, and the Roots go straight to the stores with no promotions by Jay.
