The reason there is a recession is because people are saving there money instead of consuming products. When less products are being sold, less people are needed to work. Which leads to layoffs and unemployment.

chiefs, you partially correct but the economy is fucked right now because the war is costing millions every week. Period. While Clinton was in office, we were at peace and the internet blossomed, creating jobs, and erasing the deficit, creating an enormous surplus of over 11 trillion dollars. It’s full circle now, less jobs being available sends more people into the military. Gas prices skyrocketing lines the pockets of the oil companys. Every time anything is built in Iraq, Cheney and Bush recieve the contract via Haliburton which further puts tax payers dollars ino their own pockets. It’s just good business for those cats, bad for the rest of us. Recession? That depends on who you ask, the Bush family has mire dough right now than they ever did.

The water crisis in Africa we know Jay helped out with. I believe he helped with katrina victims as well, but honestly we live in a fucked up country (America that is, land of the free..) America prints its own money, but the paper you have in ur pocket is no more than that…paper. It’s what it represents in buying power that counts.
