Who favorited?Jay Z Inks Multi-Million Dollar Deal With Live Nation

It looks like rumors of Jay Z pursuing his own label venture weren't that far off. The hip hop power player has will soon be signing a multi-million dollar deal with Live Nation.
According to The New York Times, as part of the roughly $150 million partnership, to be called Roc Nation, Live Nation would finance future start-up ventures by Jay-Z, which could include his own label, music publishing, and artist consulting and managing.
Jay Z, who has one contractual album left under his current contract with Def Jam records, will also be getting advanced payments of $10 million for a minimum of three albums.
Along with future touring, the 10-year deal could include certain publishing and licensing rights.
Though all the details of the deal aren't clear, sources claim it will be finalized by months end.

If u think back to when Jay’s career started, his debut was Reasonable Doubt. And even though the album was critically acclaimed, commercially it was a fuckin flop. The Mtv crowd that embraced Biggie and Pac didnt give a fuck about a Jay-z.
And after that He really tried to use the Puffy formula. Like the “sunshine” video wit the Ferris wheel and the fruity lookin clothes on and the fish eye camera lense.
He really didnt have much of identity around that time. He really didnt blow until he dropped That hard knock life shit and the got the Mtv crowd on his side with the little Orphan Annie sample.
If Big had been livin all those years Jay would have been to B.i.g. what Beenie Sigel is to Jay…..Second Fiddle
