Jay Z Fires Back – Counter Sues Former 40/40 Employees
Lawyers for Jay Z’s New York City hotspot, the 40/40 club, have fired back at two former employees with a counter lawsuit claiming the women cost the club $20,000.According to the New York Post, Kishma Pickering and Sheron Branch who are currently involved in a class action lawsuit against Jay-Z, business partner Juan Perez, and the club, claiming they were robbed of wages and overtime, are now facing a lawsuit alleging Branch “abandoned her employment…by failing to show up for work as scheduled, without calling in” last Christmas.
Lawyers for the club also claim that the following day, the former administrative aide used the company’s passwords, for 40/40’s YouTube and MySpace accounts, to delete promotional videos.
Lawyers for the club estimate the damage done by deleting the videos amounts to around $20,000.
Amy Winehouse Hospitalized & Released
British songstress Amy Winehouse was hospitalized for complications due to “exhaustion” on Wednesday, June 08, 2007. The _“Rehab” hitmaker who’s a favorite amongst hip hop fans due to numerous collabos with high profile rappers was forced to cancel scheduled performances in Norway and Denmark this week.
According to a press release, Amy was discharged from the hospital later that afternoon and had been advised to take complete rest.
