Tomi Rae Brown, widow of James Brown, said she was at a retreat when James died early Monday morning. “The last thing he said to me was, ‘I love you baby and I’ll see you soon,’” she told The Augusta Chronicle. But when she returned to the home she shared with the singer and their 5-year-old son, she was denied access. According to Brown, security guards told her James Brown’s lawyer, Buddy Dallas, and accountant, David Cannon, said she was not allowed inside.
“This is my home,” she told a reporter for the newspaper outside the gate of the house. “I don’t have any money. I don’t have anywhere to go.”

Reign is right there is another side to the story she was married at the time she married James cause she never legally filed for a divorce so it made her marriage void. So technically shes not his wife cause they never tried to get married again. Also according to his lawyer they hadn't seen each other in a couple of weeks plus she has her own home which in near his house.
