Yonkers representative, Jadakiss, apparantly will have the weapons charge against him dismissed. Filing a motion to have the weapons and drug charges wiped out, The Westchester County District Attorney’s office said that it will become official once the judge grants the motion. Kiss was arrested with two friends in his hometown last October after police said they smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle in which they were riding. A subsequent search of the car turned up an illegal firearm. The D.A.’s motion also seeks the dismissal of charges against the rapper’s co-defendant Kristian Smith. In September the third man charged, Darnell Frazier, was cleared after DNA tests could not link him to the weapon. Kiss’s attorney, Clement Patti, said it was “a travesty that the case went this far.”
Wu-Tang Clan cleared the first ever Beatles sample for their first single “The Heart Gently Weeps” off their new album “8 Diagrams”. The song also features Erykah Badu plus contributions from Dhani Harrison, son of late Beatle and song author, and Red Hot Chili Pepper axeman John Frusciante. The highly-anticipated forthcoming release, was slated to drop on November 13, but a spokesperson for the group said that it has been pushed back due to “the magnitude of the sample and the history being made.”
8 Diagrams is now slated for release December 4.
