Vanity Fair’s Nancy Jo Sales reports that many of the Jeweler’s long time customers such as Kanye West (who rapped in his 2005 track “Touch The Sky”: “I Went to Jacob an hour after I got my advance/I Just wanted to shine”) have declined to offer any support for the federal money laundering defendant Jacob the Jeweler a.k.a Jacob Arabov.
Jacob, who has maintained his innocence was also slated to do a line of sneakers with Kanye west, however those plans were quickly discarded after Jacob was charged with laundering cash for the Detroit based alleged drug-dealing gang known as the Black Mafia Family, which happens to call itself an entertainment company.

Still there are those who remain by the Jeweler’s side and defend his innocence such as mainstream heavy weight Sean Combs and Aftermath rapper Busta Rhymes. Both who have had their own brushes with the law.
Rhymes is quoted as saying “The charges are a bunch of bullshit. At the end of the day, why would Jacob come this far, purchasing a $12 million building on 57th St.-Why would he do anything illegaly?”
...I for one would like to say, “Thank you Busta for your incredibly logical and grammatically correct explanation as to why Mr. Arabov is innocent. Who would’ve thought anyone would have a legit business to cover up illegal activities?!”
