“He didn’t even write that album, man,” said Yayo regarding Ghostface during a July 07 interview with Spin Magazine.
“He didn’t write it. That kid from Far Rockaway --Superb, he wrote that record. You know Superb from Far Rock?” He exclaimed.
Following Yayo's comments, Superb who was once associated with Raekwon's American CreamTeam,verified his [Yayo's] claims via a telephone interview from jail.
“Ya niggas know he took my
shit, But I ain’t mad at that cause I ain’t a hater, but that was
mines. I ain’t telling ya’ll to not buy his album but thats me, the
whole Supreme Clientèle album that was me I wrote that. I had to pay my
dues and do what I had to do to get in the game.” Said Superb. “The
First time is on me, but the second time is on you, you gotta ask
permission to be me, that nigga took flows, words, that nigga tookIn other news…
everything. And now I’m up in here dead, I don’t even get a package
from him man.” He quipped
Pretty Tony had been quiet about the issue and avoided any question regarding it--until now. In a recent interview with Rhapsody, Ghost finally addressed the issue. "I was in Europe when I heard that. That’s just nonsense. I still put mad shit out. ‘Perb was ‘Perb, Ghost was Ghost. ‘Perb is Rae’s man. He been in the studio a few times while we’re doing shit. He ain’t write shit. All ‘Perb contributed was a couple of lines that you could put in the air. When we write, we all do that. “Say this one right here” or “Put this one right here.” We all catch lines with each other ‘cause you in the studio. You got niggas around you that write. Even if he did write a verse, he could never make an album of mine. He couldn’t make an album, you feel me? I made Supreme Clientele what it is. Those are my stories, based around whatever they’re based upon. It’s me. I can’t see what songs ‘Perb wrote. He ain’t write “Mighty Healthy” or “One” or “Apollo Kids” or “Cherchez LaGhost” or “Saturday Nite” or “Malcolm.” But, Yayo can suck a fat dick. Tell him I said that." Said Ghost. When asked about Superb, Ghostface said he has never worked with the Far Rock artist. "Superb been in jail for like four or five years. He started getting high and one day he tried to steal my DAT with all the songs from Bulletproof Wallets. Niggas fucked him up. We knew he had it. He was being sneaky.
