G-Unity, the G-Unit Foundation that donates to life changing organizations, helped impact a program in a very positive way. The Foundation for Second Chances, a non-profit organization that that seeks to improve the quality of the education provided to today’s youth, recently announced a series of improvements it was able to implement with funds from a G-Unity Foundation grant. In 2006, 50 Cent’s charitable organization delivered a $10,000 grant to the FFSC as part of its mission to help non-profits that focus on improving the quality of life for low-income and underserved communities. The FFSC today reports that the grant has allowed them to expand the after school programs they offer, hire new staff and eventually double the number of students they could reach. “We are extremely grateful to the G-Unity Foundation for this critical grant, which has enabled us to put down organizational roots and to offer critical life skills to fifteen additional youth in our community,” stated Melissa Wyatt, FFSC Executive Director. “We have learned a great deal through our relationship with the foundation and look forward to continuing our partnership to improve quality of life in our neighborhoods.”
