Foxy and Lil Kim Sued By Book Company
by on July 25th, 2008
Rappers Foxy Brown and Lil' Kim are being sued, separately, by Simon and Schuster, Inc. for failing to complete their end in a book deal. The end to be completed was actually writing a book. They were given their advance money, but didn't fulfill their obligations.
Foxy was allegedly given $75,000 in 2005 for an exclusive autobiography titled Broken Silence that was scheduled for completion by Feb 2006. Lil Kim was given $40,000 in 2003 for a novel due by June ’04.
Both women were sentenced to jail shortly after the deals. Lil' Kim went to prison in 2005 for lying about a shooting. Brown was locked up in 2007 for violating probation arising from a fight with two manicurists. Attorneys for both did not comment on the lawsuit as of press time.
