According to the Miami Herald, police say Fat Joe may have been with murder victims Lessli Paz and Joey Navarro when they were shot dead near Lincoln Road.
“It is unclear whether the New York City rapper was directly involved in a fight that led to the fatal shootings, or how he slipped away from the scene. Detectives only want to talk to him as a possible witness, stressed Miami Beach police spokesman Sgt. Robert Hernandez” reported the Miami Herald.
Joe’s whereabouts were unknown as of this past Tuesday and his spokeswoman, Aimee Morris, could not get in touch with him.
According to Police Reports, Paz, Navarroa, and possibly Fat Joe were amongst a group parked in front of David’s Cafe II on 1654 Meridian Ave., in a black Cadillac Escalade when a fight broke out between some of the people inside the vehicle and another man outside of the restaurant.
Police say Jermaine Chamberline, 24, of Miami Gardens, pulled a gun out and fired four rounds into the group hitting Navarro and Paz. Navarro, who was hit 3 times died later that day at the hospital, Paz died at scene.
