Eve has been m.i.a from the rap game for quite a while, but with a new album scheduled to release, she’s come back, and spoke to Giant Magazine about the state of hip-hop, beef, but first of all the much publicized sex tape:
“I was hurt by it. But what kept me calm was that everybody knew he was my boyfriend. Not that I wanted people to see me having sex, but it wasn’t like I was getting gangbanged – that would have been crazy,” Said Eve in response to questions concerning the tape made by she and Stevie J. When asked how she felt about todays Hip-Hop, Eve got specific, saying :
“For me, it all started with (D4L’s) ‘Laffy Taffy.’ When I first heard that song on the radio, I just knew it was a joke, but then I kept hearing it. Every artist has the right to do what they want, but I don’t believe in making that kind of music. It’s disposable. Hip-hop is in cardiac arrest, but I think it’s revivable.”
Squashing rumors of any beef with Lil Kim, and even hinting at a possible collabo in the near future, Eve spoke on the situation, adding,
“I used to roll in the car with my high school friends listening to Biggie and Kim. (But we were) not speaking, for whatever reason. When my publicist told me we would be sitting across from each other, I was like, ‘Are you serious?’ There wasn’t any real beef, but I just didn’t want any tension. But we ended up talking, like really talking, for forty-five minutes. We even exchanged numbers. I’d love to do a joint with Kim. I really want to see her come back, you know?”
She also voiced her opinion on the perceptions on her skin color, and her personal llife, boldly responding with “I’m going to love who loves me, and if I’m attracted to a person, I’m attracted to them. I’ve had black men say to me, ‘Oh, I heard you were dating a white man.’ It’s like, ‘Have I gone out with (a white man)? Yes. Am I dating someone white? No, but if I was, it would be my choice, so stay out of my business.’”
Eve updated us all on what her projects/ what she has been working on in the meantime as well, along with some info about her own new album.
” I just shot a video with Kelly Rowland for her album, the song is called “Like This”. We shot it in a house in LA…. Look out for it, it should start playing sometime next week so look out for it!” “This week I shot for some magazine’s in NY…. XXL, Instyle and Trace…. Pickup GIANT magazine… I’m on the cover. My 1st single should be playing soon.. It’s called “Tambourine”.. Produced by my brother Swizz Beatz! It’s crazy so listen out for it”

Enough Back to redman, Matic, I don’t know if it’s better then Jay’s J.C or Nas HHD, (it’s too early to call it) , But it’s def. up there, the punchlines are sick

HOWEVER Redman is a legend to the following: Eminem, Jay-Z, Nas, Biggie expressed his feeling toward redman as being one of the best, and oh! and 2Pac (in my opinion the best to do it)
