Eminem Rushed To Hospital Over The Holidays
by on January 8th, 2008
Critically acclaimed rapper Eminem was rushed to a Detroit area hospital over the holidays.
According to TMZ, Em needed emergency care for a serious heart condition and severe pneumonia.
Sources tell the entertainment tabloid the rappers weight has shot up to over 200 pounds.
According to his publicist, Em is back at home recovering.
"Over the holidays, Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, was under doctor's care at a Detroit-area hospital for complications due to pneumonia.
He has since been released and is doing well recovering at home."
Em is said to have finished recording his highly anticipated forthcoming LP tentatively titled, King Mathers, due out this summer.

Motherfuckers -
say that I’m foolish I only talk about jewels (bling bling)
Do you fools listen to music or do you just skim through it?
See I’m influenced by the ghetto you ruined
That same dude you gave nothin, I made somethin doin
what I do through and through and
I give you the news – with a twist it’s just his ghetto point-of-view
The renegade; you been afraid
I penetrate pop culture, bring ‘em a lot closer to the block where they
pop toasters and they live with their moms got drop roasters from botched robberies niggas crouched over
mommies knocked up cause she wasn’t wached over knocked down by some clown when child support knocked
no he’s not around tnow how that sound to ya, jot it down
I bring it through the ghetto without ridin ’round
hidin down duckin strays from frustrated youths stuck in they ways
Just read a magazine that fucked up my day
How you rate music that thugs with nothin relate to it i help them see their way through it – not you cant step in my pants cant walk in my shoes bet everything you worth you lose your tie and your shirt
[Eminem]
Since I’m in a position to talk to these kids and they listen
I ain’t no politician but I’ll kick it with ‘em a minute
Cause see they call me a menace; and if the shoe fits I’ll wear it
But if it don’t, then y’all’ll swallow the truth grin and bear it
Now who’s these king of these rude ludicrous lucrative lyrics
Who could inherit the title, put the youth in hysterics
Usin his music to steer it, sharin his views and his merits
But there’s a huge interference – they’re sayin you shouldn’t hear it
Maybe it’s hatred I spew, maybe it’s food for the spirit
Maybe it’s beautiful music I made for you to just cherish
But I’m debated disputed hated and viewed in America
as a motherfuckin drug addict – like you didn’t experiment?
Now now, that’s when you start to stare at who’s in the mirror
and see yourself as a kid again, and you get embarrased
And I got nothin to do but make you look stupid as parents
You fuckin do-gooders – too bad you couldn’t do good at marriage!
(Ha ha!) And do you have any clue what I had to do to get here I don’t
think you do so stay tuned and keep your ears glued to the stereo
Cause here we go – he’s {*Jigga joint Jigga-chk-Jigga*}
And I’m the sinister, Mr. Kiss-My-Ass it’s just a
[Chorus: Eminem + Jay-Z]
[Em] RENEGADE! Never been afraid to say
what’s on my mind at, any given time of day
Cause I’m a RENEGADE! Never been afraid to talk
about anything (ANYTHING) anything (ANYTHING), RENEGADE!
[Jay] Never been afraid to say
what’s on my mind at, any given time of day
Cause I’m a {RENEGADE} Never been afraid to holler
about anything {anything?} Anything {ANYTHING!}
[Jay-Z]
I had to hustle, my back to the wall, ashy knuckles
Pockets filled with a lot of lint, not a cent
Gotta vent, lot of innocent of lives lost on the project bench
Whatchu hollerin? Gotta pay rent, bring dollars in
By the bodega, iron under my coat, feelin braver
Doo-rag wrappin my waves up, pockets full of hope
Do not step to me – I’m awkward, I box leftier often
My pops left me an orphan, my momma wasn’t home
Could not stress to me I wasn’t grown; ‘specially on nights
I brought somethin home to quiet the stomach rumblings
My demeanor – thirty years my senior
My childhood didn’t mean much, only raisin green up
Raisin my fingers to critics; raisin my head to the sky
Big I did it – multi before I die (nigga)
No lie, just know I chose my own fate
I drove by the fork in the road and went straight
[Eminem]
See I’m a poet to some, a regular modern day Shakespeare
Jesus Christ the King of these Latter Day Saints here
To shatter the picture in which of that as they paint me
as a monger of hate and Satan a scatter-brained atheist
But that ain’t the case, see it’s a matter of taste
We as a people decide if Shady’s as bad as they say he is
Or is he the latter – a gateway to escape?
Media scapegoat, who they can be mad at today
See it’s easy as cake, simple as whistlin Dixie
while I’m wavin the pistol at sixty Christians against me
Go to war with the Mormons, take a bath with the Catholics
in holy water – no wonder they try to hold me under longer
I’m a motherfuckin spiteful, DELIGHTFUL eyeful
The new Ice Cube – motherfuckers HATE to like you
What did I do? (huh?) I’m just a kid from the gutter
makin this butter off these bloodsuckers, cause I’m a muh’fuckin
Anyways I hope he gets better.
I never hear anyone reciting shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit that Em says in this track.
They interviewed Em back in 01 over Renegade and he said it was a tie. I personally thought Em did Jay dirty, though, ESPECIALLY even more so when Nas said it on Stillmatic. Pound for pound, though, Em is NOT “better” than Jay. Em IS nasty; shit, VERY NASTY… but Jay is a little NASTIER… His catalogue is NASTIER…
Em had a song where he listed the best lyricists…“I got a list here’s the order of my list that it’s in/ It goes Reggie (Redman for the youngboys who don’t know), Jay-Z, Tupac and Biggie, Andre from Outkast, Jada, Kurupt, Nas and then me”; and so did Jay…" I’m from where niggas pull your card, and argue all day about, who’s the best MC’s, Biggie, Jay-Z, and Nas."
NAS IS THE GREATEST EMCEE OF ALL TIME.
P.S. And the title of this article: Eminem Rushed To Hospital Over The Holidays… wowwww, it’s 1/8/08… That’s like me puttin up a headline: Charismatic graduates from high school in 1998… lol, wowwwww! Late ass news.

Timeless music for ears right there. KC is my shit…American Gansgta will be up on that list in a couple of years.
Em voice hurt my fuckin ears….I cant listen to that nigga for a whole album. I need a break after a couple of songs…it’s not what you say all the time…it’s how you deliver that message. It’s not even close when comparing albums.
Yeah, a lot of the songs on those Jay albums have nice and beats and choruses, songs that are nice to listen to, but that doesn’t make you a better rapper.
When determining the better rapper, you have to consider lyrical ability, not who can make a bunch of catchy songs, ie. soulja boy.
Now when I look at lyrics on Renegade, it’s obvious to any non-jay die hard fan that the verse that Eminem created is one of the best in the history of the game. And they actually make sense. When Jay spit his, it felt like he was doing it just to make things rhyme, and made little sense. After Em finished I was like; “Ok Em’s telling us that America and the parents in it hates his offensive lyrical content but the kids keep listening because they like it.” And then when Jay was done I was all like: “Uh, what was he trying to say? Fork in the road..? Huh?”
Anyways, what I’m trying to say is, you can’t throw how many catchy songs a person has made into consideration when determining the better rapper or lyricist.
I can listen to Crank dat, by Soulja Boy, and then listen to a NaS accapalla, and confidently conclude that Nas is the obviously the much better rapper, because I analyze the LYRICS, not who can make a bunch of good catchy songs, which I think what you all are doing.
So don’t pull the whole, “Oh well Jay has albums where 90% of the songs were hit songs with great hooks, therefore he is better than so and so.” It just shouldn’t be seen that way. How come no one says the infinite album is better than one of Jay’s albums? Because it doesn’t have poppy beats with catchy hooks right? I consider the content better than Jay’s ever done..
So in short, when you people want to determine who the better lyricist is, LOOK AT THE GOD DAMN LYRICS, NOT WHO CAN MAKE A BUNCH OF CATCHY SONGS.
You jumped in a convo that you have no clue what you just got into. Em and his whole camp got more popcorn music than just about anybody but you call that relevant. Since you cant comprehend the meaning when Jay says “No lie, just know I chose my own fate. I drove by the fork in the road and went straight”…shows your level of understanding. You exposed yourself. lol
Actually, I know exactly what I got myself into. A petty bickering trying to narrow down who the best lyricist is between jay and Em, and people rather see who can make an album with lots of hit songs, than who can make an album with great lyrical content, affect their conclusion. Yawn, that’s nice and all that Slim has can make hit songs, but when you are trying to decide who is a great lyricist, you best stick to how good their lyrics are, not their popcorn music, as you put it. It’s also quite funny you mention misunderstanding, when you failed to address the main point I’ve made. Funny isn’t it?
@ dcinthesouth
Ok listen here you fuck tart, I will not tolerate little morons like you misrepresenting my position and putting words in my mouth. I’ve never claimed Jay only has hot beats and catchy choruses as you so dishonestly put it. I said that you should look purely at the lyrics when trying to draw the conclusion that so and so is better than so and so, NOT how many albums they’ve released where all the songs on the albums are catchy and good to listen to. So you can lube up that ass hole of yours you have their and abruptly shove your blatant strawmans straight into it. Though I’m sure it isn’t the first time something has been thrust into there. Jay is a great lyricist, but better than eminem? Let the LYRICS decide that, not how many hits a rapper has made in their career. It quite funny mention that bit about people liking jay because of his lyrics not his hits, considering the jay favored arguments simply consist of something like: “Oh, well Jay has four classic albums. The songs on those albums were all such hit tracks, therefore jay is better than eminem, bla bla bla” You get the idea. It’s awfully suspect that I don’t see them bringing up lyrics displaying jay spitting some super amazing memorable lyrics. This clearly doesn’t seem to be the case here in this pitiful debate. Further more the most quoted rappers in the “favourite quotes in rap songs” type threads on forums are generally lines from Biggie, Eminem, Nas, Big pun, Big L, and a handful of other rappers that escape my mind right now. If the assertion “Jay-z’s lyrical ability is the reason people embrace him, not hit songz.” (see what I did there?! I didn’t blatantly put words into your mouth and quoted you directly!!! No strawman!!!!! Maybe you could learn a thing or two.) were in any way true, then people would be pulling up lyrics from his tracks, not pulling out the played “HE GOTS CLASSIC ALBUMS. JAY WINS.” would they now?
Your post makes no sense whatsoever. If you carefully read from the 1st comment that started this convo you be able to understand whats being said. I could careless who is the best lyricist or the best rapper. Lyricism doesn’t equate quality music. It takes versatility in several areas mixed with consistency that a legend is created. With that said, you say who cares about classic albums??? A lot of fuckin people, especially the artist that create them. A classic album is probably the highest achievement a hip hop artist can achieve. I equate that with a SuperBowl Ring, World Series Ring, NBA Ring. Nowhere in this article have I declared Jay the best ever. For something you call petty…you seem to be very interested. Try again playa….the more you type…the more you expose yourself.
El.Oh.El.
I do respect all opinions even if I dont agree with them. At the end of the day both guys have lyrics and lyrical content to match. It still holds for an interesting debate no matter how petty or irrelevant some may think it is ***ahem***Jarrard.
Oh dear. it seems you people seem to posses a severe lack of understanding and reading ability. It’s almost scary actually. But since I’m nice and have the patience of a saint, more specific, a tolerance for ignorant morons who fail miserably to read properly. But then again, you people are some how are continuously unable to spell a name as simple as mine correctly.
But i’m not gonna tear your head off, no, i’ll tolerate it and proceed to kindly remind you – incase you have some form of disorder that disables your comprehending skills – that I’VE NEVER FUCKING SAID JAY IS A SHIT LYRICIST YOU FUCKING BRAIN DEAD IDIOT. LEARN TO READ.
Rewind to me talking strictly and solely about the “JAY GOTS CLASSICS. HE WINS.” arguments that are used way too often.
‘LOOK AT THE GOD DAMN LYRICS, NOT WHO CAN MAKE A BUNCH OF CATCHY SONGS.’
’I’ve never claimed Jay only has hot beats and catchy choruses as you so dishonestly put it. I said that you should look purely at the lyrics when trying to draw the conclusion that so and so is better than so and so, NOT how many albums they’ve released where all the songs on the albums are catchy and good to listen to.’
LOOK HERE, I’LL MAKE IT EASY FOR YOU IDIOTS TO UNDERSTAND SO YOU DON’T WASTE MORE BANDWIDTH WITH YOUR SHIT THAT HAS ABSOLUTELY SHIT ALL TO DO WITH WHAT I SAID
ARE YOU LOOKING? TAKE A GOD HARD READ.
WHEN ARGUIING WHO THE BETTER LYRICIST IS, DON’T CONCLUDE THAT SO AND SO IS BETTER THAN SO AND SO BECAUSE THEY CAN MAKE HIT SONGS, CONCLUDE RAPPER A IS BETTER THAN RAPPER B BECAUSE HE HAS THE BETTER LYRICS, AND LYRICAL ABILITY.
THAT’S ALL I FUCKING SAID, DO YOU UNDERSTAND NOW? GO BACK AND RE READ IF YOU STILL HAVE HARD UNDERSTANDING. THAT’S ALL I’VE SAID ALL ALONG. THAT’S IT. It’s all about the “Well this dude gots classic. He better” arguments, that’s all it was about, it has NOTHING to do with proving that em is better than jay or jay is better than him. IT WAS STRICTLY ABOUT THE “CLASSIC ALBUM NUMBER” ARGUMENT FUCKTART. GO BACK RE READ, AND POINT OUT TO ME WHERE I MENTIONED JAY. God damn, learn to read. Christ. Do I need to beat you over the head until you finally understand? Jee, it’s a damn shame you couldn’t even see those with a blind man’s eye eh? Maybe you should’ve traded that eye for his brain instead.
Strictly @ 757representa
Lastly ROFL @ Even daring to place NaS behind the likes of Wayne and Kanye, as if they were lyricaly superior than NaS. Nigga WHAT? That’s a fucking slap in the face to real rappers like NaS. The lil T Pain wannabe and the adult cry baby will get ethered the fuck out. If all those of aforementioned rappers collaborated for a song, NaS would fucking embarrass these lower skilled rappers. They shouldn’t even be placed in a spot near NaS, let alone the same fucking list lmfao. That really shows what you know about rap.
So until you learn how to quote people directly, not twist what they said, and not reply to a straw man you made of their post, you might actually make a decent point. And until you actually read what people are saying and in what context they say it, and not put words in their mouth, you don’t have a leg to stand on.
“I remember when you used to hold me/ told me I was the best/ anything in this world I want I could posess/ all it made me want is all that I could get in order to survive gotta learn to live with regrets.
this is the number 1 rule for your set in order to survive gotta learn to live with regrets/ and thru our travels we get separated- never forget in order to survive gotta learn to live with regrets.”
fuck what you talkin about nigga. if you think jay is all hooks and “catchy songs” then you dont know lyrics when you hear um. eminem is a very ill MC. one of the best. incredible wordplay. punishing delivery. on top of all that he from detroit which makes him extra nice. But ALL of his albums lack that feel that jay-z put into a song like regrets. Personally hes been pissing me off with songs like smack that and shake that ass. I thought his first 2 albums were excellent. But each had a few songs i skip when i listen to them. Creatively I liked his last album alot because it had some funny shit in it, I like that he dont take himself too seriously. And he humble and thats great.
bottom line: if you asked eminem who he looked up to most in the industry he would say jay-z.
“Ive made beats for jay-z for free!”
I aint sayin jay is better.
I aint sayin eminem is a slouch by any means.
But whos got a more incredible catalog?
C’mon man, keep it real…
& Jay Z is the best.
but 200 pounds aint shit, dont kno why that information had to be added to the article.
Don’t worry, I’m waiting.
Nas>>>>>>>>>Eminem
stillmatic
it was written
gods son
lost tapes
And illmatic was the most ‘streets’ but i doubt you ever heard it…
bottom line: nas is the best.
best diss record ever.
best album ever.
changed hip hop not once but twice.
shady and jigga are nice but they both borrowed from nas.
listen to eminems early infinite record.
jay used to sound like das efx.
um, sorry shady… DEEEEEEEEEEEETROIT!!!!!!!!!!!!
just a thought
i fuckin love that intro.
He said it out his mouth that every time Jay and Nas drop a new album it motivates him to step his game up.
PS: Em= Top 10 all – time, easily.
But if today’s hip hop artist just HAS to get his rock star on, at least show some moderation. They don’t have to get to the point where they can’t feel their face every night. Just a thought.

Just hope he gets well though. This Jay Vs. Nas Vs. Eminem battle in my opinion is bullshit. Nas and Jay is way ahead of Em. His conscious shit don’t match Nas’ conscious shit. Only 1 classic album does not put him as the best in the game. Nas is sooo versatile he can spit on anything; when any rapper is able to amass a catalogue and acclaim from critics, haters and fans like Nas has, then you can talk to me about being the best in the game…
PLEASE take care Marshall, I don’t want to see another “Rapper passes away” headline ever again. Ever.
i mean, if em put out albums like jay does, this battle wouldnt even be a battle cause em would have jay on every aspect. before you say jay has more hits, think about the context. look at the top 10 hip hop albums of all time based on record sales. em has 2 albums on there. i repeat… 2! jay has NONE.
end
Seriously I feel where your coming from and respect it…..you say “A classic is somethin that remains relevant over the course of time. Like ready to die by Biggie or Thr Chronic By DR. Dre. Are u seriously tryna tell me dat Jay has ever put anything together thats even close to dat level.”
I’m saying yes, RD, Blueprint, Black Album and Hard Knock Life is on that level. I will not say it’s better. By the way I stopped smoking weed over 3 years ago…I’m sober. lol
In regards to Kingdom Come I know some people that hate it that album…I also know some that think it’s classic material. I know some people that would never purchase a Eminem album and I know others that swear this dude is the best that ever touched the mic. It’s all a matter of personal taste. I hope that’s real enough for you playa.
Nice red hearing dragging eminem into it out of no where when he was NEVER mentioned. Even if he couldn’t name an album from that artist, will that automatically make the albums n-word mentioned, classic ones? Allow me answer. No. Btw, The Eminem Show, marshals mathers lp, would murder that trash honestly. It’s a shame his voice annoys the fuck out of me, otherwise I would actually listen. Fortunately for me, all I need to do is look at the lyrics to know that he’s far above average.
As far as the Eminem Show or Marshall Mathers LP lyrically murdering any of Jay’s albums I mentioned is up for debate.
HAHA EM`SZ A FUCK^N BEAST..
