According to MTV, the documentary will feature interviews with people who were close to the late pioneer, sharing their memories of him. Some of the people chosen to be interviewed so far are, Onyx, Reverend Run, Russell Simmons, and of course Mr. Curtis Jackson himself.
Before 50 became a superstar in the industry, he worked with Jam Master Jay, and looked up to him as a mentor playing a major part in 50’s early career. Mystery still lingers behind the Dj’s death since no killer was ever found, 50 thinks that this documentary will make the death of Jam Master Jay a lot clearer to fans who do not know the entire story.
In other news…
“It's not a random act of violence. People just don't walk in your studio, shoot and kill you with several other people around, and no one knows anything, I believe the documentary sheds light on it a little bit. It creates a clearer picture of what actually happened at that point. People just heard, 'Jam Master Jay got shot.’ They don't understand the circumstances. The film creates some clarity.”
The title of the documentary will be, “Two Turntables and a Microphone.” A release date for the documentary has not yet been revealed.

COMMENTS
dam man this shits interesting i would love to know more about what happened i really hope 50 can shed light on that cause hes not shedding light on the rap game right now ha
hahaha man i think 50 just wants to do another movie lol
nah but thats good though, everybody forgets about JMJ when they talk about hip hop pioneers, they always bring up pac, big, L, pun, etc..
so thats good, good look for 50 too
This one sounds like its gonna be hot. I really hope he gets rev run and dmc really involved with the process.

"sounds interesting" i'll check it out....
That's some bullshit. How come they always arresting rappers but they can NEVER catch ANYBODY that's killed a rapper? I'm not big on conpiracy theorys but can anybody answer that 4 me????
hell yea...they can catch anybody in the world who committed a murder but all of a sudden when they kill a rapper they commit 'the perfect crime?'
who killed 2pac?
who killed biggie?
who killed JMJ?
AND im sure stack bundles case would be the same way if they didnt take the dude out before the police could get him
bullshit..
it's because of that retarded "no snitching" thing
In some cases, its bullshit to snitch, but some people think when you see someone get murdered for no real reason, you cant provide details because that counts as "snitching" apparently
True indeed. Especially the ones that were murdered in public! Pac, B.I.G. etc. I can't take a piss in the street without some type of law enforcement involvement, but these high profile people can get killed in the middle of the street and noone knows shit! But on the other hand if someone is crazy enough to kill a famous person in public in the middle of the street, than they are definately crazy enough to have whoever tells on him taken care of. As far as the documentary goes, I feel like 50 is doing this for his friend JMJ, and not for some publicity so props to him for that. PEACE Come check out The Livin' Large Morning Show Hip-Hop/N.F.L. Special w/ Bobby Livin', and Tony Large Sundays 11am-1pm EST at www.clubmegamix.com.
man some of you guys are retarded. BIG and Pac both got killed in ways that most unsolved murder cases go. some dudes shot em and bailed. people die like that every day and the case goes unsolved you just dont hear about it. obviously its easier to bust weezy or DMX for drugs than it is to solve a murder, you guys need to stop and think before you speak.
they dont give a fuck about hip hop. as far as they concerned its just one less nigga to worry about. just like they dont give a fuck about the local neighborhood drug dealer that get his ass shot. this is amerikkka people wake the fuck up.
Why should they protect and help people that continue to discourage the community from advancing and making something of themselves? If I was a cop I wouldn't give 2 shits about someone who was killed who is feeding crack to people in the community nor a rapper who says fuck the police.
Rappers dig themselves holes by making this "no snitching" campaign a pop culture thing because mostly every kid doesn't actually know what its context is. To witness a murder and talk to the police is the right thing to do. It is only snitching if you were involved or have something to gain from someone else going down. The no snitching campaign means no one talks when these rappers are shot. It is their own fault.
@celtics, i agree wit you to an extent. you are right about thedifference between being a witness and a snitch, but i still say fuck the police though. they aint ya friends.
I am not saying they are your friends, I stay clear of them whenever possible I am just trying to clear some things up for some uninformed biatches.
all shall be revealed?? maybe. . . .
They can find Saddam Hussein in Iraq but cant find a rapper's killer here in the states ???
This s*** f***ed up !!!
eldrige ur a fuckin moron JMJ mentored the nigga 50 and got his career goin so he payin some tribute and he doin it nice with a documentary lettin people know about what really happend...and a lot of people includin myself dont really know what happend and would like to have a better understanding....ya digg
I don't agree wit dat, who not care about their mentor's death? JMJ was like a father to fif, and dis his way to pay him back...Learn it.
ReDef.
Haha Is 50 doing a movie about snitching out jam master jays killer?
its about time that this documentary of JMJ coming out Its such a Shame how these legends die
hope fifth dont fuck it up, but more importantly people do need to think about the FACT that no rapper murder has ever been solved and what that really means, you can think white about like my man CAPS1104 or you can just be real with your self.
think white? i guess the fact that the FBI found MLK's murderer means nothing to you, so yeah... big conspiracy man, cops hate to solve the murders of black people. your right, my bad for not being real with myself. i guess the cops also never found the accomplice and Jam Master Jay's murder either right? man get real you dont even know what your talking about.
what happening to the "No snitching" rule 50?
that shit aint snitchin nigga it called lettin the truth be told niggas wanna kno bout this shit if u heard about it in the barbershop or on the net no diffrence yo snitchin is gettin caught for doing something ur self and not accepting the consequences for it and go and try 2 get out of it by tellin on someone that didnt get caught for something they prolly told u or yall did toget so watch who u do shit wit or better yet do yo dirt all by yo lonely
50s well on his way to making it legal to snitch in hip hop.. or just changing the definition... im a gunit fan but thats what it seems like... :S
prolly gonna be a good doc though...
DONT LET 50 FUCK UP A LEGENDS DOCUMENTARY...
lol
you niggas plain stupid
50 AINT snitchin.
he dnt know who killed jmj. an NOBODY DOES! so how tha fuck he goin snitch??
whats he goin snitch on?
it has been rumored in the past that 50 was involved. but that was just a rumor. as far as the documentary, maybe some info will come out about the killer. jmj's family wants his killer caught, and the have the right to want justice for jay.
cmon now, Jam Master Jay owned all the rights to 50's publishing and nobody could get to 50 unless they went through him. why u think he got knocked..? hmmm. u do the math.
jmj didnt own 50 lol
he taught him how to rap n stuff n helped him hella bt jmj never owned anything bout 50 lol
where tha fukk u git that frm?
this is gonna be interesting to watch im looking forward to it
probably one a the best things 50's ever decided to create
he gets ratings for this one
i see haterz take every chance they could get to hate on 50 hop off his nuts how he snicthing you stupid if u think they gonna say who killed him in this shit youll haterz be dissapointing me sometimes
...can anyone confirm if jmj had any stake in 50's publishing at any point...?
this is gonna be good!!
It's kinda funny how much ya'll are blaming the 'no snitchin' code for murders not being caught. It really just goes 2 show how FEW of you are actually in the streets. Snitching's almost popular now. Everybodys snitchin on everybody out here & it's VERY rare that you see anybody do anything about it. That's why the FEDs have like a 97% conviction rate. No Snitching is just some shit people holla in a song & wear on a t-shirt nowadays. If they really wanted 2 find the people that killed OUR artists they could. They just don't care... Oh & to Celtics, if they're not interested in helping us because of there personal issues with our music than they need 2 stop arresting us too... Can I get a witness? Lol...
I agree I am just trying to have people look at both sides of the situation. Not all police are bad people and have vendettas against the public. There is obviously animosity between certain individuals of each side, but you have to admit the average rapper is not too smart about keeping their actions low key. If you have someone yelling out in public they have some white on them and a cop hears it, he is going to assume that the person has it and investigate. The same goes with rappers, they make it known how they roll, unfortunately it bites them in the ass because they somehow believe they aren't susceptible to the common sense of others and don't think they will test them on their claims.
I aint supporting the police im jus playin devils advocate here.
Sounds tight.
And I can definitely take 50's comments on the murder and apply them to Biggie & Pac. Same thing holds true there.
Should be sum raw shit. Run-D.M.C. was one of the best rap groups in the game, real talk. Always liked "Christmas In Hollis", "The Ave.", "It's Like That", "It's Tricky", "My Adidas", "Walk This Way" & "You Talk Too Much". RIP Jam Master Jay.
Hey fiddy, make sure the documentary gets sent to hollywood instead of da feds lap. Also, you don't have to give da name of da suspects and the adress they live at. I know you got da urge. Hahahaha!
As far as snitchin is concerned, all these "gangsta" rappers saying shit like "coke money keeps pouring in" or "i pop glocks all day" are snitching on themselves in a way, they are calling the feds to investigate them, then they complain that the system is biased while they snitching on themselves...Its like me running on the streets and saying I JUST KILLED A NIGA or I JUST SOLD A KILO MOTHERFUKAZ...Niggaz need to get real and stop being hipocrites
shid im ready 2 see dis big up to 50....
If you believe that 50 Cent had something to do with Jam Master Jay's death or that MLK's killer was never really caught...you just might be right. Until there is solid evidence linking an individual or group to a murder, the case itself is still open...
And you can't believe everything that you hear in the media or in the bullshit "Commission Reports" because either valuable information was omitted, or it is presented in such a way where it's difficult to read between the lines...
I'll make it clear in regards to the last statement that I made: we are being told the truth, but some really important parts of a newsarticle are downplayed or just are never mentioned (think Building 7 during 9/11, a major surplus of oil in the United States as we speak and dual citizenships/expatriation discouraged).
Why fifty ill be real upset if he goes and fucks it up and what not.
He's not worried about Jay, he's tryin' to get him so more paper. I bet this daocumentary will show that.
Let me skip all the 50 haters and thank him on a job well done! Just finished watching a snippet of how the documentary is gonna look and it's a good look! VERY INFORMATIVE! Big Shoutz to Hollis! RIP JMJ
how about an interview with dmc? he and run should be the first two on that list, it seems like he just gets forgotten when people are talkin about legends.
