In a statement to AllHipHop, Drama says, “This is an attempt by the government to paint an image of those involved in hip-hop as criminals.
“Don Cannon and I are being negatively depicted despite the fact we are legitimate businessmen, highly involved in the community, and college graduates that have never been arrested. We are being accused of damaging the music industry, when in fact, we are hired by record labels to help develop and elevate the careers of their artists by previewing unreleased material to the masses.”

where do we draw the line in the middle of beef and gimmic..
beef is a real thing... people mostly keep it to themselves until they bust a ngga head...
soap opera is dragging this shit out when nothing ever go down or you never intended nothing to do nothing... which most of the shit now days is...
No chance in hell Drama and Cannon are going to win this case. Why? R.I.A.A.
This will clearly be a reference case from this point on. I don't think people understand the importance and magnitude of this case. I mean, according to the RIAA, any music that is not copyrighted is considered illegal right? What does that mean for all the struggling artists out there who are selling their music out of the trunks of their cars? Will they now be arrested for illegal distribution? Or what about all the unsigned hopes who post their music on Myspace? If their music isn't copyrighted, can they also be arrested for illegal distribution? The RIAA knows this case will have some SERIOUS ramifications.
Sidebar: I honestly think they raided AMG with the intent of finding some illegal contraband. My honest opinion, a snitch lied to the authorities in attempt to broker some form of bargain. Why else would they storm a known compact disc manufacturing hub with drug-sniffing canines?
Iceberg is on point with that last statement.. Its just like Drama said, they're trying to make Rappers and DJ's look like criminals. It will be interesting to see what happens with this case... It has the possibility of changing a lot of shit in the mixtape game and beyond... It just kinda pisses me off how the execs wanna get their hands in everything..
