According to Gibson, Michael Bivins(who was serving as a celebrity judge), and Diddy started to yell at her when she told them the dancers were only given a day in practice to see how well they could perform on short-notice. She says that Bivins grabbed her, while Sean then picked up a chair and began to threaten her. Gibson also claims she was fired in the midst of all of this. She eventually broke away and left, as stated in the complaint.
“She is the inspiration for the contestants, and she has worked with Sean Combs for more than 10 years. That’s why this was so unexpected,” said Peter Toumbekis, Laurie’s attorney. Toumbekis also states that her contract is not with Diddy, but with MTV, giving him no power whatsoever to fire her.
