Sean “Diddy” Combs was reported saying that he wants to be the first black James Bond. This all came out at the MTV Europe Music Awards last night when Diddy said, “One day the time will come for a black Bond. Hopefully I can audition for it.”
Apparently since he has been successful in the music and fashion world, why not just dive on into acting. And not just any sorry film (he tried that route five years ago with Monster’s Ball.) He is going for one of the most famous movie series ever made.
The Bond producers didn’t comment but with the upcoming Bond flick Casino Royale starring Daniel Craig, Combs’ chances aren’t looking too promising.
Expect “Puffy” to be working on that British accent in the meantime…

Actually, I could see Diddy making a good bond. He's the the swagger, and it would prolly be one of the funnier bonds. It would probably do well too. Blacks going becuase there's a black bond, fans of bond going, and people who are just curious as to how he'd do as bond going.

Airkat, you have got to be joking. What makes you think that Diddy, with his minimal acting experience, would even be remotely prepared for taking on a starring role in a major blockbuster movie. Its not that the world isn't ready for a black Bond, the character is a white character. It has nothing to do with race. That would be like saying why dont we make a white Shaft to attract a more diverse audience and while we're at it why not give the role to an amature actor. You make yourself sound ignorant when you wirte stuff without sitting down to think about it first.

I've never seen diddy act, if you read, I based my comments on his personality. Cmon now, diddy already acts like he's some suave chick-magnet. And a black bond is as crazy as the black jesus movie they have coming out.
