In the article, Pulitzer prize winner Chuck Phillips claims that new evidence suggests Pac wasn't that far off when he accused Jimmy Henchman and Diddy of being involved with the shooting.
According to Phillips, then promoter James Sabatino, the son of a reputed captain in the Colombo crime family, reportedly told Combs personally that Shakur would be attacked at Quad Recording Studio.
Phillip claims that Jimmy "Henchmen" Rosemond, James Sabatino, Sean "Diddy" Combs and Randy "Stretch" Walker, a close friend of Shakur, set up the rapper because they were infuriated by what they saw as Shakur's "insolent" behavior.
Both Diddy and Rosemond have released statements today denying the allegations and blasting Chuck Phillips for his theories.
"This story is beyond ridiculous and is completely false.Neither Biggie nor I had any knowledge of any attack before, during, or after it happened. It is a complete lie to suggest that there was any involvement by Biggie or myself. I am shocked that the Los Angeles Times would be so irresponsible as to publish such a baseless and completely untrue story." Said Diddy earlier today.
