Recent reports state that a lawsuit was filed Friday in L.A by Gerard Rechitzer against rap mogul P.Diddy(real name Sean Combs), claiming he allegedly attacked him after a confrontation involving Diddy spitting game to his girlfriend.
According to TMZ.com, Mr. Combs “intentionally, willfully, knowingly and unlawfully attacked, assaulted and battered” Rechnitzer in the parking lot of Hollywood’s Roosevelt Hotel after a post-Academy Awards party at famed nightspot Teddy’s.”
Legal documents state that when Rechitzer returned from a nearby bathroom he discovered Diddy, surrounded by bodyguards, chatting with his girlfriend. He angrily replied: “what the fuck you looking at dude?’,” and “I’ll smack flames out your ass!” when Rechnitzer asked his girlfriend to leave with him.
They also state that Sean “attempted to spit on another female member” from Rechnitzer’s group as he pushed his girlfriend away.”
Michael Marzban, Rechitzers’ attorney, would not comment on the case, stating “Everything you want is in the complaint.’‘
However, Combs’ attorney Benjamin Brafman disregarded the accusations, mentioning them as “completely baseless,” and saying “The case will be vigorously defended.”Later adding that the lawsuit is just another example of an opportunist seeking to fabricate a lawsuit based on a flat-out lie to try to take advantage of Mr Combs’ celebrity status,”
He elaborated further, saying “Mr Combs did not hit anyone, and Mr Rechnitzer suffered no injuries or damages whatsoever. There is no case. It is that simple,”
As reported by Reuters, The police are currently still investigating an incident wherein Rechitzer was “punched on the right side of his face by a man talking to his girlfriend”. They have not named any suspects, nor did they confirm Diddy was the investigations focus.
