According to the Houston Chron, assistant chief coroner Ed Winter said a combinatin of a prescription-based Promethazine/Codeine found in Butlers' system and sleep apnea, a disorder that often causes blockage of the airway during sleep were the primary cause of the 33 year old rapper's death.
"Sleep apnea, you stop breathing," he tells the Chron. "Coupled with a medication that suppresses your respiratory abilities, you end up with an accidental death."
Last week Bun B, the second half of UGK and Pimp C's long time running mate promised fans of the rapper so new material and spoke of a solo album in the works.

"You're definitely gonna hear more from Pimp," he said. "His wife controls all his stuff, and I know she's supposed to be doing a solo album. She'll do whatever she feels she needs to do, but I definitely think she'll put out another album."
