Consequence Rides With DMCs,Preps New Album & Mixtape
G.O.O.D Music rapper Consequence has snatched up Run D.M.C.’s D.M.C. for the video to his new single “Uncle Rahiem.”The rapper who is currently working on his sophomore album, tentatively titled “You Win Some, You Lose Some,” expected out in the first quarter of 2008, will be appearing in the video along side the hip hop legend who will be portraying his semi-fictional uncle.
“Uncle Rahiem is a combination of one maternal uncle and two paternal uncles, and he’s like the deadbeat of the family,” Consequence tells Billboard.com.
“Everyone has that one wack family member and he’s mine. Worse, he’s just coming out of jail and is coming to stay with me and my mom.”
Aside from the video and his forthcoming sophmore LP, Cons will also be releasing a new mixtape, “Cons Vol. 5: Refuse To Die,” due before the end of the month and hosted by DJ Whoo Kid.
R. Kelly Back In the Closet
World renowned R&B Crooner R. Kelly will reportedly be spending more time trapped in the closet.
According to reports, Kelly is to shoot another 10 episodes of his Trapped In The Closet “Hip Hopera” series after signing a new deal with U.S. cable network IFC.
Kelly, who starred as ladies’ man Sylvester in his 12-episode mini film “Trapped In The Closet,” will be reprising his role as actor and director for the upcoming episodes which will be aired on the cable network. No word on when exactly the series will be premiering.

Yo Cons is a sick rapper, underrated man, "Don't Quit Your Day Job!" is in my top 10 albums of 2007 so far. Kanye made a great move when he signed Cons to his label. Can't wait for the mixtape.
