The charges came as a result of an arrest late last year. During a routine traffic stop on Interstate 81, Police found a pound of marijuana in a trash can in the kitchenette of William's tourbus after obtaining consent to search the vehicle.
Police arrested Williams along with 15 others who were in the tour bus.
According to Times News, Williams, his brother, Ronald Williams of Cash Money Records and most of their entourage entered no contest pleas to marijuana possession Friday morning in Kingsport General Sessions Court.
Judge Mark Toohey handled the case like that of those arrested traveling to the Bonnaroo Music Festival.
Toohey says fans traveling to Bonnaroo are often found in possession of enough drugs that felony charges are warranted, but they are often allowed to plead to misdemeanor charges when it is apparent the drugs were only for personal use.

Williams and his co-defendants were offered a plea deal involving simple possession charges because it was reasonable to believe the amount of marijuana on board their rented RV was just for them, rather than for resale, according to prosecutors.
Toohey added on that although they were in the same situation of those traveling to the music festival, he hopes that one of the things Williams and company does during their probation is use their status to discourage the use of marijuana.
