Beanie Sigel hasn’t been in the greatest state lately. Multiple arrests and a recent judge appearance gave him the unwanted gift of 6 additional months of probation for a violation.
This has led Sigel to even rethink the title of his next LP, due to the situations he’s been going through. Originally primed to be “Return of the Bad Guy”, it’s been changed to “The Solution”, and is rumored to be dropping in June.
Never one to shy away from speaking, this is what Sigel had to say about it to the media:
“In the beginning, just coming fresh out my situation when I had to sit down for that year [in jail], when I came home, that was that attitude,” Sigel said of his original album title. “But as I started recording, the content for this album became too great for that title. I’m still in limbo, but I’ve been playing around with a couple titles. I’m gonna stick with The Solution as the working title so far.”
Most heads, and casual fans alike though, are still in the dark as to just what label he’s even signed to, Jay-Z’s reformulated Roc-A-Fella records, or Dame Dash music Group(via Universal). He says that’s up to his “marketing plan”. While being scant on info about his label, he was open about his guest appearances, and wishes for the new album, listing Scarface, Mos Def, and even surprising additions like Kid Rock and Eminem.
He claims that those artists would make a “crazy” posse joint. Beanie also set in stone that local Philly duos Dre Vidal & Harry & Little Alex would be handling the majority of production.
Sigel had this to say on the state of his music, and where he may be going with it as well.
“I said it before: I don’t want to make music forever, I just wanna make that forever music,” the rapper explained. “So that’s just basically the course I been going on. Just making the right music, the right decisions on songs that I do. ... A lot of my music goes off of feeling. If it feels good to me, then I’ll do it, I’ll complete it. And that’s what the world will hear.”
Seemingly having learned his lesson about recording albums amidst legal issues with his previous album 2005’s “The B.Coming”, Sigel feels confident, saying The Solution will be the first LP he’s crafted without label honchos breathing down his neck. Not that he wasn’t pleased with previous albums, but he feels the freedom of recording a project at his own pace.
The one question looming was how he felt about his former Roc-A-Fella & State Property family. Beanie claims he is cool with all, saying this in response:
“I will always do music with them,” Sigel said. Though he admitted he said certain things out of anger in the past toward them, mostly his fellow Philly rappers, Sigs is looking forward to working with them again. He even hinted at a State Property reunion….
“If everybody get together and we on the same page like we once was,” he said, “then I’m ready to ride.”
I for one am hoping for a reunion. That was one of the greatest crews in Hip-Hop.

beans lost that shine it might be hard for him to make that good come back.He is one of those rappers that do have skills on the mic.I hope this album can get him back where he left off at with the good music.Cause his last album wasn't good at all and he's much better then that.But we will see on this one here so far it sounds like its going to be hot with some of the artist he picked.
