As the Def Jam offices return to business today after ringing in the new years, Philadelphia rapper Beanie Sigel has some business of his own to take up with the historic record label and it's bosses.
Beanie, who's latest LP The Solution, has barely cracked Billboard's Top 40, says he plans on heading to the Def Jam offices in search of much needed answers.
In a recent interview with Dj WhooKid, the Broad Street bully expressed his frustrations with not only the label itself but also with big homie, Jay Z.
"Alotta questions need to be directed to the people in charge, they need to be pot on the spot and questioned cause I want to know why this ain't like this and this ain't like that....I'm stressed out, it's crazy!" Beans tells WhooKid.
"It's crazy when like the outside got their views and they see certain shit. It's like everyone has that dude on their camp--that you know that this nigga is a rotten motherfucker but that still your man so you stick up for him and you comp for his faults but that shit's gettin crazy." He said potentially referring to Hova.

"It's not me pointing the finger on certain individuals or anything cause I'm a loyal motherfucker but damn...not your boy..niggas don't know the half."
Beans then went on to discuss some future plans, including dropping a mixtape titled "True American Gangster" and his relationship with Dame Dash.

For one, they are all East Coast, and besides 50 and Jay, the East really isn't selling volume nowadays.(Not even Nas) Look at Ne-Yo. Look at Rihanna. Even Jeezy, they all at big time success under Jay. I'm not saying he did everything right, but he knew what he was doing in those cases. There are also individuals on that list(LL, DMX) whose egos make it impossible for them to work under Jay, X didn't like it from day 1 and said he couldn't work for "a peer." Some of the other artists are frustrated for other reasons, Budden don't like the way Jay handled him, Free don't like that he's leaving, Beans don't like alot of shit. Stop blaming others and look at what you yourself can do to fix it. Make better music. Stop hating on the next man(BEANS!!! that was ridiculous how he talked about Kanye, someone who worked with him from day 1). You can always do what Jay did and takeover, these guys are in a much better position to do that than artists who are the same caliber, just not on a major label.

Expect more of the older, non productive artists to leave, it's not JUST Jay, it's JUST business. Look at the amount of Southern artists on Def Jam now, it ain't because Chingy got a better flow than Jada, it's because Playaz Circle is gonna sell more records than the Roots. East Coast cats like Juelz embrace the changes happening around them, adapt and overcome while Beanie Sigel is stuck in '98-'02.
