AZ Wants To Be A N***** Too, Makes A N***** Mixtape
by on July 9th, 2008
The mixtape will feature images of the past, including a picture of a black and white civil rights protesters being hosed by firemen as the cover. Some of the songs that will be on this mixtape will be "Knowledge Freedom", "Runaway Slave," "Conspiracy," "Negro Spiritual," and "Self Savior".
Just to make things a little racier the mixtape will also feature references to Lynchings and the inside jacket of the mixtape will have a picture of AZ hanging on a noose.
Despite the similar titles, AZ has denied swagger jacking the Queens rapper Nas
“I'm not doing N.4.L. to be in Nas' shadow, I was inspired by the message behind the movement. I'm just adding to the concept, because the message is so powerful. It's about our culture and our people. He and I are cut from the same cloth, so I understood where he would have gone with it if the forces hadn't intervened."
AZ also spoke about the title of the mixtape expressing its double meaning, "The title N.4.L. has a dual meaning for me. The first suggests that no matter what you achieve in life, as a black man, even if you become President Of The United States, in someone's eyes, you'll always be looked at as a 'n***a for life,'"
When asked if fans could expect a collaboration with AZ and Nas in the near future all he could offer was the mixtape saying,
"The closest thing to us rhyming together for now is the N.4.L. mixtape.
You'll get him burning the candle from one end, and me burning the candle from the other end, and at the end of the day we gotta meet up in the middle. What you didn't get from Nas, you can get from AZ."
N.4.Life is expected to be released on August 5th of this year

For some reason it always seems that people look past AZ, but his talent on the mic is undeniable.
HAWWWWWWLLLLLAAAHHHHH
But AZ can more than hold his own so im sure it’ll be a decent mixtape
Most underrated ever
Nevertheless AZ’s still one of those dudes… Salute
THAT’S REAL.
Words are only as powerful as you make them.
BROOKLYN STAND UP…BEDSTY, NOSTRAND IS DA AVE COME HOLLA
You are a fuckboy.
AZ would rap circles around every TRL nigga in the game right now.
Anyways, I love that AZ’s doin this. At least he wont have to answer to Jesse Jackson & Al Sharpton, cuz we know they only go at the big-name stars.
1) Nas don’t need him
2) AZ don’t need him
They interviewed AZ about the mixtape and he said it best, “Me and Nas are cut from the same vein; I’m gonna embrace the aspects he didn’t. It’s like lighting a candle from both ends(the whole thing gets burned.)”
I’m more excited to see how both of these cats embrace the concept individually than to here them colab on a song or two on one of there albums. They’ve both outgrown that.
Oh, hope he goes hard on the N4L.. Undeniable disappointed me
