Andre 3000 Sidelines OutKast

Half of prolific rap duo, OutKast, has decided to put their group effort to the side and focus on his solo project.

According to MTV News, after gaining momentum from collaborations with the likes of UGK, DJ Unk and the Inc.’s Lloyd, Mr. 3000 has decided to put the groups next project to the sideline and start recording a solo album.

“Big Boi is working on a solo album right now. I’m working on a solo album as well because of all the remix work that’s been coming out,” Andre told Mtv.

“After we do those solo albums, we’re planning on doing another Outkast album. I don’t know how long that’s gonna be; it could be two years”

The groups last solo effort came in the form of a joint venture entitled “Speakerboxxx/The Love Below.” As far as when we can hear Andre on another remix, the ATLien says he’s interested in laying some verses on Sean Kingston’s “Beautiful Girl.”
