Looks like the R&b singer can’t stop talking about himself..and his abilities as an artist. In a recent interview, Akon said he refuses to perform guest appearances unless he produces the track. Akon, who’s numerous collaborations with big names such as Snoop Dogg and Eminem brought him to fame, said he is too involved in music to simply lend his vocals and not contribute creatively.
He explains, “I don’t just guest. If I don’t produce it, I won’t get on the record. “The main reason for a collaboration is to bring something new and help you expand your audience.”

Akon got his career based inb Collabos from way better, way more established artists. When he first came out, that "Locked UP" shit was garbage. Then what did he do? He got Styles to collab on it and the shit was hott!
Same thing with every other joint that he did... If he was ALONE the shit was garbage... But when he did it with someone else... Jeezy, Snoop, Em etc, etc... the shit sold.
So for him to be talking that dumb shit he's talking... wow...speechless!
