Akon apologizes to fans through song
Akon has been in quite a few fixes lately, the biggest being his on-stage romp with an underage girl in May. He has released several remorseful statements to the media since then, but he has finally decided to grant everyone a grand apology- via a song.The track was first heard on KLII’s “On Air with Ryan Seacrest”, wherein Akon pleaded for them to “put all the blame on me”- and rightfully so. He doesn’t exclude anyone though, as he questions the girls father, singing: “Daddy should have never let her out that young … how was I supposed to know she was underage in a 21-and-over club?”
Kon also sent a shout to Gwen Stefani, his tour partner, crooning “sorry for the hand she was dealt … for the embarrassment she felt.”... “I’m just a singer trying to entertain.”

He rejected a plea bargain for a sentence of time already served, opting to be tried instead. A spokesman for the Manhattan D.A’s office spoke to Tmz.com, saying: “He declined the deal through his lawyers. He was also in court but didn’t address the judge or say anything else.” The charge of 2nd degree criminal impersonation carries a maxium sentence of up to one year in jail.
