Gizmoz inks deal with 50 Cent
Digital avatar service Gizmoz has expanded their market as of late, investing over $6 Million dollars into venture capital funding, and brokering deals with several mainstream artists, most notably, 50 Cent. Gizmoz software offers the user the capability to create talking, animated avatars which are able to deliver personalized messages.Gizmoz entered an agreement with 50 Cent and other artists to use their voice and likenesses to coincide with their software launch. They intend for most users to utilize the program for leaving MySpace messages, which visitors will be able to scroll through, and listen to.
Master P denies competing with 50
The situation began with 50’s scathing remarks towards Master P cleaning up his vulgar lyrics, where he scoffed “Master P doesn’t sell records anymore”. P then announced that he and his son Lil Romeo would be releasing an album titled “Hip-Hop History” on the same date as “Curtis”.
Master P explained his motives, saying: “the date was not chosen to compete with Curtis Jackson’s delayed release, but rather to create balance in the marketplace and give kids a freedom of choice.”
“Hip-Hop History” and “Curtis” will both debut on September 4th.

50 Cent's new album “Curtis” has suffered another setback do to the plans for a “worldwide” release date. It has now been pushed back another week to September 11th 2007, according to people in the G-Unit camp.
September 11th marks the six year anniversary of the attacks on the Twin Towers in New York City. Our insiders speculate it is another marketing tactic that correlates 50 Cent with that day in history to make it seem more dramatic for his is album release.
September 11th 2001 was the day Jay-Z dropped “The Blue Print” and Fabolous dropped his debut “Ghetto Fabolous.” They both scored top selling albums for the week even though they came out the day of the tragedy.
Let’s see if 50 Cent can capitalize off of the date six years after the fact.
