Kanye and 50 are in my opinion 2 of the best artists out right now in terms of crafiting quality albums. That is why they sell, they make great albums - GRODT, Massacre, College Dropout and Late Registration are true works of art that u can listen to from start to finish. Can't wait for both these albums to drop. For the record I gotta say Kanye is up there right now in all categories, and I'm willing to argue that shit if anyone disagrees

Ok first off Notorious sorry if you feel like I was disrespecting you, I was just trying to shake you up and get you to argue like a man and defend yourself. As for your points, THEY ARE ALL INVALID, as they do not directly relate to my question.

1. You say 50 is trash because his music lacks good messages. That means that only positive music is good music? That's 100% OPINIONATIVE. You might not like his lyrics because of the content but how does that make him a bad rapper? I good rapper should be able to rap about anything and make it good through TECHNIQUE ie. rhyme schemes, breath control, flow etc. SAYING HE IS NEGATIVE DOES NOT MEAN HE IS A TRASH RAPPER.

2. How does his musical ability ride on the fact that he can write good choruses? That comment makes no sense whatsoever. Let's say all his choruses combined make up 20% of all lyrics on his album, what about the other 80%, ie. the verses. Everyone who listens to 50 knows his verses are tight, well crafted, and hot as hell at the same time. Sure he writes great choruses, that is one of the most important quality of any great song writer, in ANY genre of music, not just pop as you claim. As you admit, 50's choruses are great, but saying they make him a garbage rapper has no logical connection. LISTEN TO THE VERSES, THE MAN CAN RAP.

3. You say all the man cares about is record sales. Again this has as NOTHING TO DO WITH MY QUESTION. How does that make him a gargage rapper??? I asked you about his talent as a rapper, not his goal to sell records. You don't answer the question. And don't you think there is a reason 50 sells so many records. And he did not start the whole record sale craze, that shit has always been around, he just smashed all the fucking records but that was out of his control, we as consumers made that happen.

4. And your "extra" point once again was nothing to do with what I was asking you so I won't waste time writing on it.

I say 50 is trash because he’s not a true HIP HOP musician nor is he an artist (def: a person whose work exhibits exceptional skill.) there is nothing exceptional about 50’s lyrics when you hear him rap you don’t go oooh that was deep, or man he really put some words together in that flow, all his flows are mediocre and yaw continuously pump them up like there great when there really is nothing great about “ look homie I don’t dance all I do is this, it’s the same two step with a little twist, listen pimpin I aint new to this im true to this, pay attention and ill teach you how to do this shit. How is that down the line of a exceptional skill( exceptional meaning: Being an exception; uncommon)? Because that style of rapping is very common

2. like Notorious said true he makes good choruses and the reason for that is because to sale records these days all you need is a chorus and a catchy beat and that’s exactly what 50 does. He doesn’t care about craft nor does he care about hip hop he is only in it to sell records so he can make money that’s all he cares about is selling records. There no artistry in his music nothing that really separates him from other rappers ( meaning nothing in his rapping style that makes him sound better than others) from all the true 50 cent fans on the site (like MAK) when they give him props its never on his artistry its on his business skills which he is considered an artist in but when it comes to music he is no were near the elite. Record sales are not based on lyrics and crafts man ship no more there based on a hot beat and chorus.(meaning all you need is two good singles example; NELLY)
