Download: Elite Ft J.Cole – World Premier
Heads up HHNM
damn. j. cole has artists under him and is pushing them already?
in any case, i thought dude’s flow was wack.
What the hell are you talkin about his flow was wack? Yeah anyone next to J.Cole nowadays is gonna sound weak but how is that wack?? Nigga murdered the beat from the word Go.
guess i’ll have to listen again. turned it off halfway through cuz i wasn’t impressed.
re-listened. you’re right. it wasn’t his flow. it’s his voice that’s wack. amounts to the same thing to me. Pass.
Since when was Voice relevant to rap? If that were to be the case half the rappers would’ve never made it.
Despite his whack-ness, I can’t stand Tony Yayo because of his voice. It’s so fucking annoying. Even when he’d drop decent verses on the “T.O.S.” album, his voice would just ruin it for me.
Voice matters, but if the emcee is crazy talented like Kendrick Lamar, then the voice could be neglected because he’ll leave you baffled with his insane rhyme schemes and wordplay that you would be considered stupid to complain about his voice.
Voice is relevant wth. Why would you want to listen to someone when you don’t like their voice? I don’t listen to Curren$y or Lloyd Banks because they make Down Syndrome music. That doesn’t mean they can’t rap, it just means it’s not for me.
Oh, and having a good rap voice is completely different than having a good singing voice. It doesn’t seem like you wanted to make that differentiation.
well said dedication. how is voice NOT important in rap? a producer i know told me one of the most valuable things i ever heard in regards to the music industry: ‘your voice is another instrument. in fact, you should view it as the final instrument that you place on a song.’ so true. think of some of the greatest rappers of our time: biggie, pac, nas. yes they had flow and style and poeticism- but they also had distinct voices.
lol @ Down Syndrome rap. i like Spitta and Banks voices. it helps that they always get good production and are talented MCs but i think theyre in a category wit Kendrick where their voice is going to be the deciding factor if you like them or not, whether or not you recognize their skill
worth a download
J.Cole on a lone hook? This cat always bodies the collaboration track. Remember “Looking For Trouble” with KanYe, Cy Hi, Sean, and Pusha T? And “Just Begun” with Jay Elec, Mos and Talib? “Gladiators” with B.o.B. The list goes on.
He murked those tracks. And this comes out with Cole delivering a decent hook, but nothing really praiseworthy.
Idk, maybe I just have high expectations from him because he hardly comes out with anything short of excellence.
It was aight. Actually sound pretty nice but whenever i see J cole name on anything. I expect a verse. I need the VERSE WITH IT!
More mediocre pop rap for the kiddies…
listened to the tape last night there are way better songs than this on there “Awaken” was my favorite of the tape
Yo this dude sounds like a cross of J and Malice…its ok…I don’t know man, this beat was hard…but they came off kinda not doing the beat justice…Big L or Kool G Rap or Pun would’ve shed this track to pieces…Kool G Rap needs to make a comeback…4sho’
