Tonight, Pusha T stopped by Funk Flex’s show on Hot 97 and sat down for a Q&A session, and he touched on multiple topics, but the stand-out out part of the interview is when he addresses his rap beef with Lil Wayne.
During the interview, Pusha T opened up about his feud with Lil Wayne, and says he was surprised that Wayne responded to his “Exodus” track, because he didn’t name any names on the record:
“I never seen a record that didn’t say one name, cause so much of a fire storm.”
As he continued, he spoke Wayne’s response and calls it trash, then explains why he didn’t respond back:
“It was horrible, it was trash. In all honesty I haven’t said anything about it, because I didn’t think it was good enough to respond to.”
When asked what he thought about Lil Wayne backing down yesterday by saying he doesn’t haven’t any beef, he says:
“After he already said fuck me, and everybody who loves me. He’s already said what he said. At the end of the day, him saying what he said yesterday was in his best interest.”
In other parts of the interview, Pusha speaks on the Clipse, and says there will be a new album from the duo, he addresses Nicki Minaj backing out of Summer Jam, talks Drake vs Chris Brown, and he reveals the release date for the G.O.O.D Music compilation, Cruel Summer, as August 7th.
