Lil Wayne has said previously that after Tha Carter V he will retire, and he’ll never record another solo album. Now, he’s having second thoughts, but it’s going to cost $25-$35 million for him to new record another solo album.
During a recent interview with MTV, Lil Wayne reveals what it will take for him to record another solo album after Tha Carter V.
$25 to $35 million would get me to do another solo album after this, [and] I didn’t smile when I said that.
He adds, that even if he does record another album, the Carter series is a wrap:
I personally plan on this being my final solo album. It’s definitely the final Carter album. I’m stopping at five.
[But]… whenever I have to pitch in for another Young Money album, Like Father Like Son album… or maybe something out of the blue… The reason being is the way I’m working on this album, to me it seems like, it will be impossible for me to work this hard on anything else.
Lil Wayne’s Carter V is slated for a May 5th release.
