Lil Wayne released his 9th studio album Tha Carter IV in August of last year, and nearly went platinum in its first week on store shelves. The album that sold nearly a million copies in its first sales weeks now has 4 platinum singles as his most recent single, the Bruno Mars featured “Mirror,” has sold over a million times.
As reported by HHNM, Lil Wayne’s single “Mirror” is now certified platinum by the RIAA giving him his 4th platinum single from Tha Carter IV.
With Lil Wayne’s “Mirror” earning a platinum plaque, it falls in line with previous singles, “6 Foot 7 Foot,” “How To Love,” and “She Will” that all have been certified platinum by the RIAA.
On top of earning 4 platinum singles for the album, TuneChi’s Tha Carter IV, which sold 964k copies in it’s first week is certified double platinum as there have been over 2 million copies of the album sold.
