Louisiana rapper Lil Boosie, who is currently serving an 8-year prison sentence on drug charges, may be released from prison earlier than expected, and be home in the coming months.

According to Rolling Stones reporter Jeff Weiss, who has been covering Lil Boosie’s case, the judge has agreed to release the rapper’s computer and hard drive’s from evidence, and new music from Boosie will be on its way.

Weiss always revealed some big news as he tweeted that Lil Boosie’s lawyers say the rapper will be released from prison in no longer than 4-5 months from now.

It is believed that Lil Boosie’s prison term may have been cut short due to good behavior, and that he recently finished the prison’s GED program.

Lil Boosie’s prison sentence stems from a charge of smuggling drugs into two different prisons while awaiting trial on a murder charge. Boosie was found not guilty of the murder charge in 2012.
