As it was previously reported, Kanye West was facing battery charges for assaulting a paparazzi at LAX airport in July, 2013.

Following the LAX incident, during his first court appearance, Kanye plead no contest, and was given a continuance to appear at a later date.

Then, earlier this month on March 17th, Kanye’s follow-up court hearing took place, and he accepted a plea deal and was given two-years probation, 250-hours of community service, 24 sessions of anger management and was also ordered to pay for the photographer’s equipment and medical bills. The judge also ordered Ye to serve one-day in jail.

As reported by TMZ, yesterday at 430pm, Kanye turned himself in to the Hollywood LAPD station to get booked and serve his one-day behind bars.

As it turns out, Ye was in and out of jail in 49 minutes, just long enough to get fingerprinted and have his mug shot taken.

So, as long as Kanye stays out of trouble for the next 24-months, and completes the required community service and anger management classes, that 49 minutes will be all the jail time Ye will see for his assault on the paparazzi.

To add, although Kanye has the criminal side of the case taken care of, the paparazzi, who was assaulted by Ye, has also filed a civil lawsuit against the Chicago rapper.
