With Jay-Z becoming a father in January of 2012, he has decided to remake some of his hit records and turn them into lullabies for babies.

As reported by Spin, Jay-Z will turn 12 of his most popular records into baby-friendly instrumental lullabies on the new album entitled Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Jay-Z.

A press release for the lullaby album, with a description of the project, was sent out today:

Jay-Z’s heavily rhythmic style and mastery of flow translate effortlessly to the soothing bedtime arrangements. The collection draws from Mr. Carter’s entire career: The Blueprint 3’s 2009 monster hit, “Empire State of Mind,” is comfortably nestled next to “Hard Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem),” from 1998’s Vol. 2… Hard Knock Life.

This isn’t the first time that Rockabye Baby! has teamed up with a popular artist to release a baby-friendly album as Kanye West, Bob Marley, Black Sabbath, The Beatles and many others have all released lullaby albums in the past.

The Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions of Jay-Z is slated for a July 9th release and is available for pre-order on RockAByeBabyMusic.com [here].
