J.Cole’s highly anticipated sophomore album, Born Sinner, was originally slated to be released on January 28th, but there has been a slight change of plans as the album has been delayed.
On New Years Eve, J.Cole performed at Tao in Las Vegas, before stepping in the building to take the stage, PopStopTV caught up with the Roc Nation emcee on the red carpet, and asked him about Born Sinner’s January 28th release date.
As the NC rapper answered the question about the release date, he stated:
Nah, it’s not gonna be January 28th, it’s gonna be a little later than that. I needed more time.
In a previous interview at the AMA’s, Cole hinted about the album being delayed, and he gave a few reasons why it was a possibility:
There are certain things I want to do promotion-wise, like we’re shooting a short film, there’s certain branding opportunities I want to do with this, that I didn’t get to do on the last one.
