J.Cole‘s upcoming album, Born Sinner, was originally set to be released on January 28th, but was pushed back until June 25th. Now, word has it that Cole’s sophomore set has been pushed up to an earlier release date.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, J.Cole’s Born Sinner will now be released a week earlier on June 18th instead of the original June 25th release date.
A source close to Cole’s camp told the Reporter that “J. has been working nonstop to put out his album a week earlier… living in the studio, bringing in full orchestras and a choir.”
The source also revealed the reason for Born Sinner‘s earlier release date is to compete with Kanye West’s still untitled, upcoming album, which is rumored to drop on June 18th as well.
As of press time, there has been no confirmation from J.Cole nor his camp on the June 18th release date.
Stay tuned to DS as we will keep you updated when we get word of the official release date for Born Sinner.
