Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane’s legal troubles continue as he was sentenced to 39 months in prison as he plead guilty to a gun possession by a convicted felon charge.

As reported by the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Gucci Mane appeared in court today and pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

According to a September indictment, Gucci had a Taurus 45-caliber handgun and eight rounds of ammunition on him at the time of the arrest.

The charge of possession by a convicted felon carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, but as a result of a copping a plea, Gucci’s expected to serve 39 months behind bars, minus 10-months credit for time served.

The 10-months credit for time served comes from Gucci being incarcerated since September when he was arrested on possession of a gun and marijuana charges while also allegedly threatening police.
