The first-week sales projection for Eminem’s latest album, The Marshall Mathers LP 2, which hit stores on Tuesday, November 5th, is in.

According to Billboard, the eighth studio album, MMLP2, from Detroit emcee Eminem is expected to do huge numbers in its opening sales week and move between 700k-750k copies.

If the sales projection hold true, Em will find himself in the top spot on the Billboard 200 charts giving the Shady rapper his seventh consecutive number one album, and second highest selling opening week of 2013 only behind Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience, which moved 968k copies in its opening week back in March.

Eminem is currently tied with Kanye West and Nas for the second most Number 1 albums among hip-hop acts. When the official numbers come in next week, and Em earns his seventh number 1 album, he will hold the number 2 spot to himself only behind Jay-Z who currently has 13 chart topping albums.

Eminem’s only album that didn’t land No.1 on the Billboard 200 was his 1999 release The Slim Shady LP, which debuted and peaked at No. 2.

Stay tuned to Def Sounds for the official first week sales numbers when they are revealed next week on November 13th.
