Cypress Hill will release a new album as the front-man of the crew, B-Real, has revealed that the legendary California group will soon be gearing up to hit the studio and begin recording the follow to 2010’s Rise Up. B-Real also made the announcement that he will release a new solo mixtape.

During a recent interview with Montreality, B-Real announced that Cypress Hill is getting set to begin recording their ninth studio album.

When asked about a new album from Cypress Hill, B-Real stated:

Another Cypress Hill album, definitely. We’re in the works for that.

He added:

After these tours are over, after we’re done with that, we’re gonna go down and head over to Muggs’ studio, chop it up with him, and figure out what we’re going to do on the next album.

The Cypress Hill rapper also revealed that he is planning to release a solo mixtape:

And for me, a solo thing, that’s definitely gonna come. I’ll probably do a mixtape first just to warm it up again, just because I haven’t put a solo album out in a while, but I put two Cypress projects out right after the solo thing, so it’s been busy for me.
