Steve Stoute’s been doing promo for the Vh1 Rock Doc The Tanning of America,” which is based off his book of the same name. During an interview with Angie Martinez, Stoute said a few things that 50 Cent took as a diss, and you know 50 wasn’t going to let it slide, so as he got the chance, he confronted his former business partner.

During halftime of a New York Knicks game this weekend, 50 Cent confronted Steve Stoute as a result of his recent comments.

Stoute said to Angie, to which 50 took offense:

He [50 Cent] hasn’t had a hit in a really long time. I mean, he has not made anything musically that’s changed anything in a very long time. And I feel like he’s always gearing up for something that never happens. Hopefully, now that he’s independent and there’s no record company to blame, his aggressive content can get on the air.

He added:

I think he’s trying to get back, but those guys—you know, music is a great platform. If you’re an entrepreneur and you have a—you’re currently active making music. You’re currently active touching people with albums. That it makes it much easier for you to venture into business deals that will become successful using the music to parlay it to get it done. And without having any music that’s meaningful… Probably the last great song he’s made was “I Get Money,” I mean, Kanye’s put out three albums, four albums since then.

As he closed things up, Angie said you know 50’s going to put you on a song, in which Stoute replied by shaking his head, and giving 50 a little shot as he said:

That’s great, great. Hopefully it gets on the radio.

If you didn’t know, 50 Cent and Steve Stoute go all the way back to about 2000 when Stoute was the Urban head of Sony/Columbia and signed 50 to the label and then subsequently dropped him after 50 was shot. 50 has said multiple times that he doesn’t trust Stoute since then, and will remain to keep his distance from his former partner.

Although we don’t know what 50 said, it looks like he’s going hard at Stoute just by his gestures, but you can check out a couple photos of 50 Cent confronting Steve Stoute for yourself. And below the pics, you can view Stoute’s interview with Angie Martinez.
