50 Cent has had a lot going on as of late, blasting his label on twitter, then putting the brakes on his new album, followed by releasing his new single “Outlaw” independently instead of working with the team at Interscope to put it out.
After all that happened, The G-Unit general spoke to MTV about the twitter rants of him accusing the label of not working in sync with him to start the push on his 5th studio album release.
“So I had the record I was ready to launch, and we sat down and everybody talked. What happens is, there are a lot of people involved in my actual launch, because its three parties; it’s Shady, then you got Aftermath, then you got Interscope, and then you got me on my end. So by the time we got to go sit down with [Interscope chairman] Jimmy [Iovine], we talked a little bit, and then I ended up having to go see Dre, because we had the little issue, the confusion about the Twitter stuff.”
As 50 continued, he says that after he and Dre cleared up the situation about him releasing headphones that rival Dre’s. He added, they wanted to get back to work on the music, and they got in the lab right after they talked and wrote a song titled “The Psycho” which is Detox’s next single and will feature Fif.
“We sat down, we cleared that up, me and Dre, and then we said, ‘Let’s just get back to the music and do what we do. Immediately after, we wrote a song together called ‘The Psycho’; it’s Dre’s next single.”
50 also confirms that his new album is not titled Black Magic, and the official title hasn’t been revealed as of yet.
