While in San Francisco over the weekend, 2 Chainz was robbed at gunpoint in broad daylight.

As reported by TMZ, San Francisco PD responded to a shots-fired call on Sunday afternoon, and when they arrived at the scene it was found out that Atlanta rapper 2 Chainz was robbed at gunpoint.

According to a San Francisco PD sergeant, 2 Chainz wouldn’t cooperate with police as he stated that “he wanted to handle it himself.”

Although he wouldn’t cooperate, 2 Chainz did tell the cops that his wallet was stolen, but said that’s all that happened.

The publication also learned that police reviewed surveillance video of the rapper getting robbed, which revealed that 2 Chainz was clearly the intended target.

The SFPD sergeant stated, while reviewing the surveillance footage, it showed 2 Chainz and his 14 person entourage running from the scene like  “cockroaches running from a flashlight.”

As of press time, the SFPD have no one in custody, but they are currently looking for the suspect.

Update: SFPD have issued a statement to Radio.com and revealed that 2 Chainz wasn’t robbed, but it was a member of his entourage.

San Francisco police said in their statement to Radio.com:

“He was not the victim of a robbery. He was there, but he wasn’t the victim.”

Radio reports:

According to police, the rapper was walking with his entourage in the 800 block of Howard Street at about 4:30 p.m. when they were approached by a suspect carrying a handgun, who fired a gunshot. While most of the group scattered, one member of the entourage reportedly fell to the ground and was approached by the suspect, “who robbed him of an unknown item and fled the scene.”

2 Chainz took to Twitter, and addressed the reports. View the series of tweets from the rapper below.

Update #2: Although the SFPD issued a statement saying 2 Chainz wasn’t robbed, and it was a member of his entourage, and Chainz is denying the claims as well, Oakland rapper Lil Blood says the Atlanta rapper was robbed, and he explained what “allegedly” went down.

Lil Blood explained what he knows about the “alleged”robbery as he stated that  “2 Chainz got his ass clipped on some cornball shit.”

After posting to Instagram about the 2Chainz robbery, VladTV reached out to Lil Blood and got him on the phone and the Oakland native gave his side of the story.
