What up DS?

I know some people were discussing the possibility of making a blog about various Illuminati theories last month. Mjbijjjjij aka “stfu” aka “This song is amazing 3/10” said at one point that he was thinking about it.

The purpose of this blog is not to discuss Illuminati theories, though that is fine if that is how the discussion progresses in the comments.

Instead, the main goal of this blog is to bring up a couple of important notes that I feel often get lost in all of the conspiracy theories.

Simply put, believing in the Illuminati can evolve into a weak, cop-out excuse for not getting involved in the community and trying to make the world a better place.

So many times I see and hear people say that the government is corrupt, but follow it up with the argument that there is nothing that can be done about it. Those same people will tell everyone about how they don’t vote with preachy, phony rebellious undertones.

I’m not attacking people who choose not to exercise their right to vote because it is just as much in their right to sit on the sidelines as a spectator. To be quite frank, it’s none of my business who votes and who doesn’t.

I’m just saying that the disengagement that is induced by some conspiracy theories is dangerous.

People can get sucked into the rabbit hole on YouTube and end up being convinced that George Bush is a shape-shifter from another dimension. Video after video is uploaded about off-the-deep-end material and is watched by thousands of people and the only thing to show for it is wasted time and hopelessness.

I don’t need to see false evidence of aliens in human skin to know that something sinister is at work. And I definitely don’t need to watch music videos in reverse to know that something needs to be done about it.

Start locally, stay informed, donate to charity and do some community service. Make a positive impact whenever you possibly can.

The answers will never be clear-cut, no matter what your views on the Illuminati are. The only thing I know for sure is that the apathetic approach won’t work.

So please, take this into consideration when you’re strolling through YouTube and typing paragraphs of struggle in the Defsounds comment section. I say comment section because most of you are too lazy to write the blogs that you complained about not having for years. Really, this whole rant could be a metaphor for the lack of blog activity since its implementation.

You guys suck for that, but thanks for reading anyways.

Have a Joe Budden song for your troubles (sorry Jaffar):
