Cassidy Vs Fabolous – Pound for Pound
This is the battle of the CENTURY. Loso vs. The Hustla. This mixtape is a showcase of their best verses, back to back. It starts out with
Their renditions of T.I’s “Big Thangs Poppin”, where Fab absolutely rips the track, with Cass not too far behind. Tha Hustla catches back up with some sickness on “Laugh Now Cry Later”, but Loso takes the lead again on “This Is Family”. “4 Minutes of Death” pits them head to head, where Fabolous truly rips it apart, and Cass comes rather mediocre until the last few bars. This was looking bad for the Philly MC until “Who Do It Better”, where he makes up for inefficiencies in grand fashion. It honestly goes head to head until the very end, all while being FIRE most of the way there.. It’s up to you who wins this battle…

Belly of The Beast
Saigon’s “Belly of The Beast” starts off as hard as possible, with the “Suck you Could Die” intro (which should have been made a real song) “Saigon Theme” shows Sai spitting his NYC gulliest, with lines like “Imagine beefin with a nigga KNOWIN he’s a killer”. It gives you insight into his grimey past. “Pussy” is corny, in the respect that this is so abnormal from Saigon’s usually serious demeanor. He doesn’t slack on the spitting, but this Neptunes-like production throws it all way off. “Fuck With Me” has a gangster feel, and Sai rides the beat pretty well, hitting people in the head with lines like “If I shot one of ya’ll niggas I’d be the next best thing”. “Hatrix is old-school for real, with some heavy boom bap, and Saigon utilizing a multi-syllable flow, showcasing what he can do on the Mic. The hook is pretty catchy as well. All in all, This mixtape may make you scratch you head in a few spots with the beat selection, but Sai doesn’t disappoint on the lyrical tip.

The Crack Era
Fat Joe is that New York CRACK, and he intends to prove it with “Fat Joe- The Crack Era”. This mixtape is a mix of his newfound Miami flavor, and NYC best. “Let’s Go” featuring Rick Ross is an instant banger (and I usually don’t rock with this radio shit) “Ya Mean” is another hot one” as he brings Methodman back for a hot stadium-track, and Fat Joe spits some hotness that would have made Big Pun Proud. Certain stuff in my mind could have been omitted, like his feature verses on “Brown Paper Bag”, and others, but when Joe gets back to what he does best, he does it like no other, like the track “Plenty Niggas”. The Crack Era is full of so much classic Joe shit that you’ll probably want to run it back a few times, as Joe might surprise you with a couple lines. It isn’t the perfect collection, but it’s pretty good.

It's not like legends are everywhere to be found, guys like Big Pun, Pac and Biggie are a dime a dozen and Fat Joe was just blessed to meet Pun. Shock G discovered Pac and Mister Cee found B.I.G. does that mean they're better businessmen, musicians or hustlers than 50. NO. That doesn't prove that Fat Joe has a better ear for talent than 50. If 50 was in the position he is now in '94 and knew Pun he would've signed him. Fat Joe didn't contribute to Puns music in any shape or form he just opened the door for him.
