Ok ok, I know we played with your emotions with our April Fools joke, but lets think about it for a minute..is a split between G unit and young buck eminent?
A few years ago, no-one knew who Young Buck was. Once looked at as a replacement for an always-incarcerated Tony Yayo, or just a southern stand-in, he’s climbed his way up the G Unit ladder, rivaled only by leader 50 cent. He is the most respected, has had the best solo albums, and has been called on for more features this last year than 50 and Lloyd Banks combined. The question is though: Is Young Buck slowly drifting away from the Unit?Most would say no, as Buck has claimed loyalty to G-Unit from the beginning, but his latest actions show that he may not be acting with the same intentions. There was a time that when 50 called for it, Buck would tear a hole in anyone he asked him to, but with his latest neutral stance on the beef with Game, Jadakiss,Camron, and even Fat Joe, he seems to be thinking more for himself, and less willing to follow orders he doesn’t exactly comply with.
Is he backing away from all of the conflict in order to help further his own career, or because he doesn’t believe in it? He’s obviously become the most respected member of the group over time, as when people were dissing them, they nearly always excluded Buck. These recent moves can’t sit well with 50, as Game was kicked out of the Unit for nearly the same reason.
The gap noticeably widens further. For example, on Straight Outta Cashville, it was laden with G unity/Shady features, whereas his latest album, “Buck The World” includes only 50. No Yayo, No Banks, No Olivia, No-one. Is this due to a rift within them, or is YB truly trying to separate himself from his surroundings? Word is, he might be making his departure sooner than we think.
He has various projects in the works, like Cashville Records, His own MTV reality show, a new clothing line and he’s expanding the range of artists he works with (he had Linkin Park member Chester Bennington on the album). Showing that he isn’t just content on playing the soldier role- Young Buck wants to be The Boss. It becomes even more noticeable, due to a lack of activity by his fellow members. They all seem stuck in traction, while he is surging forward. (he even released an independent cd called “T.I.P” last year)
With all of these things in mind, how long can he co-exist with Egocentric, power-hungry 50 cent? We all know that 50 has the mindset that if he is not in total control, he will do whatever it takes to get it back. Are we in for another call to Hot 97, informing us that “Young Buck is no longer a member of G-Unit”?
He also peaced the situation up with The Game during the NBA All-Star Break in Las Vegas, saying “I chose to have a conversation with him, because 50 wouldn’t”. Even on the 50 featured song “Hold On” where he takes jabs Dipset rivals at the end, Buck mentions that that wasn’t the original idea for the song, almost taking himself out of the equasion, and saying “He did it! Not me!”
What’s next? We hear about Young Buck pulling a 180 and making up with Ja Rule? An Ashanti track maybe? What about feauturing on a song with Fat Joe and Jadakiss? The very thought of it all must drive Curtis insane. Rumors of one with he and Game are already floating around, as every wall that Mr.Jackson worked so hard to put up, Buck is smashing down, and repaving.
One can only wonder how long 50 Cent will put up with this kind of semi-mutiny. Can you imagine a Lloyd banks diss track? I can. A Youtube Video with Yayo doing his you can’t see me dance? Yup. 20 guys acting hard on ATV’s? 50 shooting it in Connecticut? Check.
Only time will tell what’ll happen, but Curtis’ track record says we might be saying Goodbye to Young Buck pretty soon.

This article is on point in some respects, but it's completely missing some shit too. Young Buck has always been loyal and always will be loyal to 50 and the Unit...period. If 5. asked him today he would ride on any nigga in the industry. He said in an interview that he spoke to 50 before he had the convo with Gayme cause he wanted his boss to be aware of it and wanted his okay to do it. In order to be a great general you first have to be a good soldier. Gayme should have learned that lesson and he would be a lot better off.
The industry respects YB because he's a real figure and he's follwed orders. YB has put himself in this position and now he's ready to be the boss of his own situation, but never at no point will you hear him say anything bad about the Unit. They gave him this opportunity and made him who he is...dude will never bite the hand that has fed him. That's why we all respect him.
The only thing this article does is try and make a rift in the mind of the public between 50 and Buck. They say that 50 is egocentric, name one rapper who isn't? 50 is the boss for a reason, and anyone joining his orginization has to understand that. It's funny cause 50's deal is about up with Dre and Em and it's very possible he could take the Unit to another label, and has even said so publicly. Pretty soon, everyone started wondering who he was. Then I started spazzing and did the Game and Eazy-E record. He said he was down and I had a verse no one had ever heard before. I put it together, put it out and it was huge. I combined him with everyone; Snoop, Prodigy, Fif', Banks and made it easier for him to fast-forward into the mixtape market.
The problem came up where he thought he was too big. In the beginning, I understood, because we aren't all the same, he didn't grow up with us. We came up as a family and lived together for the past five years. We lived outta hotels, on the road, shopped with each other, ate and made music; Game was never there. He never understood or would want to come with us anywhere. We would do tours and he'd always have an excuse not to come which 50 never understood; "Oh, my passport's f**ked up." But he'd make sure he was at an MTV show or Summer Jam. He didn't even have a record out, he was just a hype n***a running around. He wouldn't grind, but would make sure to be at a big star-studded event. 50 started seeing that Game wouldn't do the hard work. Who wouldn't want to tour 40 cities? So when he actually first started touring, he'd perform horribly because he didn't have the proper training. He had no experience. And in the beginning, everybody saw that. Even then I understood he wanted to do his own thing. He's a West Coast n***a and he didn't always want to be there… but come on, there's gotta be some form of loyalty. 50 gave him five joints for his album that helped him sell five million records, so where's the loyalty? Even if you hate this n***a, you have to have some form of loyalty because without him, you wouldn't be here. That's the only thing I couldn't understand. He wanted his own sneaker, telephone s**t [Boost Mobile], modeling... It's like, 50 blew you up, but you're not telling him what you're doing? You open a magazine and he's modeling for Sean John. The problems escalated so bad, especially with the HOT97 s**t, to now it's like no turning back because Fif' really hates that kid.

"This is How We Do" was three verses. That was a hit record, off the bat. Even I was bugging out. But 50 respected him so much and wanted him to succeed. Mazaradi, I also see your point....but.....do you think G-Unit is as hot as they used to be? Definately not. The group is losing it's buzz, you can't be on top forever, and it's harder to stay on top than to actually get to the top. But, Banks completely lost all of his buzz, and MY PERSONAL OPINION why he did, is because it took too long for Rotten Apple to come out, AND, Rotten Apple was not Banks at his full potential.
