The Fashion
1. Fashion, no disrespect to anybody from the south but let’s be honest, when Lil Wayne established himself as a rapper it was Fubu, Reeboks, big baggy jeans, and lets not forget the arm bands and wristbands. Now all of a sudden he is a fashion expert, and is the worlds best dressed rapper. Now I’m not knocking his change in his appearance I am all for that, however I am asking what and who brought about this change? Did he swagger jack Gillie?
The Stories
2. Just as most rappers proclaim Lil Wayne boast and brags about his career as a drug dealer and his life as a gangster. Now know one can actually determine who’s in the industry’s long list of so called “drug dealers” who is and who isn’t. However this can be said about Lil Wayne, no way can you proclaim to have bought your first kilo at 14 and in the same breath say you are not allowed to curse on your records. Not to mention at 14 who would sell you a kilo? Those who know how that game works know why that is so hard to believe.
3. With all the tattoos the one that stands out the most is the tear drops, commonly used as a badge of honor to an individual who has murdered an enemy. Please tell me who any of these rappers have murdered? Especially one that has been well off since the age of 8.
The Switch Up
5. Of course this last one goes without saying, but when did it become allowed for a man to kiss another man in the mouth? Now I don’t want to hear that “It’s his dad” line because I have never kissed my father, nor do I know anyone who has. Lil Wayne and baby are only about 10 years apart in age. To put the icing on the cake Baby has Lil Wayne’s face tattooed on his chest, and Wayne has baby on his arm. Now don’t get me wrong loyalty is a beautiful thing but when does it become too much?
When will Lil Wayne have to face the consequences of his actions? Or will he continue to get a pass because of his appeal to his generation? Many will see this as a hate article; however this is just to see what others on Defsounds think of his actions and the lack of consequences he faced.
